Today’s card is a little of a hodge podge with some new and some old embellishments. The new is the fabric – beautiful Moda fabric of BasicGrey’s Urban Couture line. The Play Date Cafe’s challenge of using dark brown, green and beige fit right into my plan!

With fabric on the card, I had to sew! The faux water in the vase is zig zag stitching! Oh, and the vase? That’s a greeting block from the “Just Wanted to Say” set tipped 90 degrees! See how useful Ippity stamps are??

Can you believe the SUMMER 2010 IPPITY release sneaks are coming??

Today’s card is a mix of Ippity and Unity – I just LOVE those little birdies!!! The coloring and mood of the card is for this week’s Unity Addict’s Challenge (UAC12). A fellow stamper just moved back to the state from a short term move for her husband’s work. It’s so good to have her back in the state and among our fellow stamping friends! She loves bright colors and glitter, so this card reflects her. I wanted her to feel special when she gets this card.

Today is  H{ippity} Hop day! You’ll see all sorts of great projects using Ippity Stamps, including one here from me. I kept it pretty black and white today (pun intended ) with just a touch of pretty green. I had to have some sparkle in there, so I worked more with some embossing powder that has glitter in it.

The black that I used to emboss the leaves is my absolute favorite from P K Glitz. It’s called E P Max Black because it’s a wonderful solid black with sparkle included. So pretty indeed!

I’ve got a card here for you with some heat embossing for the main image. I love to emboss! The trick is not to overheat it. Watch for the shiny surface to appear then move along to another part of the image that looks matte. Embossing powder with glitter in it tends to be challenging as you’ll probably smell the glitter heating up before the powder is melted. It’s definitely possible as seen on this card, but do take care when working with the image.

I’ve been taking Shimelle’s Love Your Pictures, Love Your Pages online class and have learned SO MUCH! The photo in this page is from my Aunt, but I doctored it up in Photoshop using a texture. I’ve never done that before – love the result! I used my favorite new Ippity stamps and Tres Jolie line from My Mind’s Eye. It just all seemed to come together!
