Hi Everyone! Happy 1st Friday in August! Although I did not attend CHA, I heard it was a blast – can’t wait to start seeing some of the new items in the stores, how about you?

Can you believe the SUMMER 2010 IPPITY release sneaks are coming??

Today’s card is a mix of Ippity and Unity – I just LOVE those little birdies!!! The coloring and mood of the card is for this week’s Unity Addict’s Challenge (UAC12). A fellow stamper just moved back to the state from a short term move for her husband’s work. It’s so good to have her back in the state and among our fellow stamping friends! She loves bright colors and glitter, so this card reflects her. I wanted her to feel special when she gets this card.

My project today uses 2 of the original release Ippity sets, Alphabetically Adorable and Simply Home and a snippet of one of the newest ones, Love in Return. Check out the stamped letters to make a word! It was stamped with dye ink then traced with a glue pen so that glitter could be added and STAY. The letters are so fun and such a great size too starting at an inch tall. It’s a great casual font to mix and match.

The rest of the stamping is pretty straightforward. I partially inked the phrase “because of you” allowing me to place the word underneath the “ewe” just to make the place on words really clear. Did you get it? My good friend Cindy came up with this one!

Wow, it’s March already! Welcome to the 3rd month of 2010!

I’m using one of the original release sets, Simply Home. I haven’t used it much yet, so I thought getting some ink on it would be in order this week.

I stamped and colored the barn/house first. Can you believe the base paper was actually white to start? Then I masked the house and stamped the tree from the Straight From the Heart set. Colored that then stamped the greeting. Did a little doodling for the smoke coming out of the chimney. The sheep was stamped and heat embossed on a scrap and cut-out closely. The edges were inked with Distress Ink. The card was assembled, sewn and the sheep was added at the end. Voila!

Welcome to February! Can you believe it?????

Love, romance, the color red —-> all remind you of February don’t they? Well, that is true for me also, but I also think of the beautiful weather here in Florida. It’s a great time of the year. Not a lot of humidity, cool nights and sunny days with not a lot of heat. That leads us to my card for today!
