Happy Monday and hello to August. The summer F L E W for me, how about you?

Today is  H{ippity} Hop day! You’ll see all sorts of great projects using Ippity Stamps, including one here from me. I kept it pretty black and white today (pun intended ) with just a touch of pretty green. I had to have some sparkle in there, so I worked more with some embossing powder that has glitter in it.

The black that I used to emboss the leaves is my absolute favorite from P K Glitz. It’s called E P Max Black because it’s a wonderful solid black with sparkle included. So pretty indeed!

I’ve been on a roll with scrapbooking pages lately. Lots to catch up with as I’ve been doing more cards and other projects in recent months.

Some simple stamping here using some of the more scrapbooking oriented sets – IPK-115 Love in Return and IPK-107 Life’s Little Moments. I’ve used them as journaling spots and embellishments.

I’m doing this Project 12 thing which is basically a 2-page layout summarizing what happened in the month. Becky Fleck provides a sketch which is VERY helpful and stands as a great starting point. I haven’t deviated too much yet from the sketch on the 2 that I’ve done so far because they’ve worked really well for me as is! Take a look and see. My project today uses 2 of the original release Ippity sets, Alphabetically Adorable and Simply Home and a snippet of one of the newest ones, Love in Return. Check out the stamped letters to make a word! It was stamped with dye ink then traced with a glue pen so that glitter could be added and STAY. The letters are so fun and such a great size too starting at an inch tall. It’s a great casual font to mix and match.

The rest of the stamping is pretty straightforward. I partially inked the phrase “because of you” allowing me to place the word underneath the “ewe” just to make the place on words really clear. Did you get it? My good friend Cindy came up with this one!

I just love My Mind’s Eye paper and glitter! When I had the chance to combine those 2 favs of mine with IPPITY stamps, I jumped at it!!

The Life’s Little Moments set had a couple stamps that fit perfectly for this page. The stacked “family” word and calendar block were both easy to customize with color and placement. The solid font in “family” allows for a great heat embossed surface!
