A bit short on time to get this card to you, so I went with the Clean and Simple Approach.
I embossed white vellum with an embossing folder in the Big Shot Express. Super cool and a great effect! I then cut a window in the card front using a Spellbinders die. Just remember to tuck the die into the card so that you don’t cut through both front and back – how do I know that? Stamp and emboss your images then attach the vellum to the card front using nailheads – those are those small attachments that have a brad-like head with 4 prongs sticking out the back. They are clean and good for using with layers. I touched up the embossed flowers with a white pen.
Supplies:
Ippity stamps, Sweet Thoughts of Spring IPK-114
P K Glitz embossing powder
Spellbinders die
Cuttlebug embossing folders
Nailheads
Signo white pen

The last Monday of the month, May is around the corner! Can you believe it? Is it starting to get warm where you live or still cold? It’s warming up here in Florida nicely and I’m enjoying it fully!

With Earth Day last week, I wanted to be more “green”, literally.
Last Monday I got Copic Certified and this is one item that I was playing with during class. The markers are SO fun, SO versatile and come in gorgeous colors. I couldn’t help but play with the branch image from the Devoted set. The leaves have their own “shading” as shown by the striped detail on the underside of the leaf itself. Cool! I don’t have to think about it much! I tossed in a little Spotlight Technique with the mini frame extending off the middle branch. Simple and GREEN!
Supplies:
Ippity Stamps , IPK-103 Devoted and IPK-114 Sweet Thoughts of Spring
Tsukineko ink
Copic markers
Martha Stewart border punch
Spellbinders dies
