Hi Everyone! Happy 1st Friday in August! Although I did not attend CHA, I heard it was a blast – can’t wait to start seeing some of the new items in the stores, how about you?
Can you believe the SUMMER 2010 IPPITY release sneaks are coming??
Today’s card is a mix of Ippity and Unity – I just LOVE those little birdies!!! The coloring and mood of the card is for this week’s Unity Addict’s Challenge (UAC12). A fellow stamper just moved back to the state from a short term move for her husband’s work. It’s so good to have her back in the state and among our fellow stamping friends! She loves bright colors and glitter, so this card reflects her. I wanted her to feel special when she gets this card.

I’ve got a card here for you with some heat embossing for the main image. I love to emboss! The trick is not to overheat it. Watch for the shiny surface to appear then move along to another part of the image that looks matte. Embossing powder with glitter in it tends to be challenging as you’ll probably smell the glitter heating up before the powder is melted. It’s definitely possible as seen on this card, but do take care when working with the image.
Supplies:
Ippity Stamps, IPK-105 Straight from the Heart
Unity Stamps, Moment in Bloom Store Kit
P K Glitz embossing powder
Ranger Distress Ink
BasicGrey paper
Border punch and ribbon
Card Positioning Systems sketch #177

My card for this week didn’t start out as a holiday card, but I guess it could be one once you take a look at it. I just love that little angel from the May 2010 KOTM! She’s so cute and perfect for the card.
I used some embossed metal from TENseconds Studio on the card also. The embossed design is from one of their molds run through the Big Shot Express. I will be using metal more on my cards – such a great effect and wonderful beauty!
Supplies:
Ippity Stamps, IPK-122 Delightful Little Things
Unity Stamps, May 2010 KOTM
TENseconds Studio mold and metal
P K Glitz embossing powder
Spellbinders die
Ranger and Tsukineko inks

I did this layout recently using both Ippity and Unity stamps. I stamped with embossing ink, embossed with clear EP, then smeared ink over the paper using a Direct to Paper technique. Buffing with a paper towel removed the ink from the embossed letters leaving the white paper peek through. I love the versatility this technique offers – lots of opportunity for making your paper match all the time!
Supplies:
Ippity Stamps, IPK-115 Love in Return & IPK-106 Alphabetically Adorable
Unity Stamps
Ranger ink
P K Glitz glitter, Sticky Tape, Sticky Paper, embossing powder and sketch
Spellbinder dies
BasicGrey paper
Chipboard
Thanks for coming by today! Enjoy your weekend and come back on Monday to H{ippity} Hop!
